Double Jump
Imagine you had a helpful friend who could give you honest feedback and connect you to useful resources and people. Who could help you get unstuck. That's (hopefully) us!You can start here.
Feedback
Free, honest feedback on what you're doing, or thinking about doing.
Send us what you're working on, deciding between, or stuck on. We'll read it and tell you what we actually think. Not just the nice parts.
How we can help
- Look at your options with you. If you're choosing between a few paths (jobs, projects, school, whatever), we'll help you think them through.
- Give you honest feedback. On a project, an essay, a pitch, a plan. Kind, but not so polite that it's useless.
- Introduce you to people. If we know someone who'd be useful to you, we'll connect you. Or point you to resources that might help.
- Suggest next steps. Small, practical ones. Things you could actually do this week.
Who we're most helpful for
We think we're most useful to people who:
- Are building, making or researching something, or want to be.
- Want honest feedback, not just encouragement.
- Are early on, a bit unusual, or not sure what's next.
It doesn't matter how old you are or what your resume looks like.
How it works
- Write to us. Email hi@doublejump.net. A few sentences is fine. Tell us what you're doing and where you're stuck.
- We read it. Every one. If we think we can help, we'll email you back.
- We talk. Over email, or a call if that's easier.
- We stay in touch. If it's useful, we'll keep checking in after.

We think we can help you.
We don’t know you. You don’t know us.
And we know you’re probably not asking for help. Or perhaps you are. But it’s beside the point.
We just think we can help you. And would like to!
Not in a “let us know how we can be helpful kinda way” where we simply small talk with you and then disappear when it really matters. That’s unkind, and surprisingly common.
We think we can actually be useful. For free. We mainly just find it fun, and rewarding. Helps us feel alive.
Right now, we think we can probably be helpful in the following ways. We’re not sure these things are massively helpful but we think you’d at least look back on them as “ah, that was pretty useful.”
- We can introduce you to people. At minimum we think you will find these people new, surprising, and interesting. At maximum, it may be that these people become indispensable parts of your life.
- We can ask you questions. Not the boring ones. And not just being the people who “play devil’s advocate for the sake of it.” We count that as boring, too. But the questions that make you think about what you’re doing, at least for a moment.
- We can introduce you to companies that may hire you. You can probably get a job on your own.
- We can give you money. Depending on what you need, and why you need it. We’ll just give you money. We don’t have infinite money but we have enough where we may be able to give you some, especially if you’re working on something we think is particularly fun, interesting, or impactful. We’re not the type to waste your time, so we’ll just tell you. Also if we can’t give you money, we probably know people who could. Or at least point you in the right direction. All that being said we think money is often not the bottleneck for many interesting projects. As in, it can be useful, but it won’t solve all your problems.
If you want us to prove that we can be helpful, or you’re just curious, or have questions, just send us an email at hi@doublejump.net and one of us will respond to you.
